Orot Etzion's goal is Jewish education that addresses every aspect of the child's development – emotional, spiritual, intellectual, social, moral and creative – through intensive Torah learning that is fully integrated with all of the child's studies and life experiences. The AmutahOrot Etzion is a state religious school with upgraded hours, curricula and individual attention. This is made possible by the existence of a non-profit board (or "amutah"), composed of school founders and involved parents. The Amutah enables Orot Etzion to offer much more than the average state religious school – smaller class sizes, additional hours of study, enrichment programs, etc. The Amutah is responsible for Orot Etzion's fiscal administration, collects tuition, hires principals and makes general policy decisions relating to the school's educational philosophy. The day-to-day running of the schools is in the hands of the school principals, following guidelines set down by Amutat Orot Etzion.
